Christian Buhk was born in Hamburg, Germany in 1978. He grew up in Schleswig - Holstein close to Hamburg, where he later returned to and where he’s still home. While graduating from High-School and college he worked for Media-and Eventcompanys specialiced in big events like concerts and live tv-and radioproductions.
After finishing different internships and his apprenticeship which was focused on On-Air Promotion / Presentation / Entertainment he contracted with northern Germanys biggest commercial radiostation Radio ffn and (todays) Radio Energy Bremen as a writer and producer in On-Air Promotion.
In spring 2002 Christian started as a host for the kids-program of Radio NDR Info. Two years later he was also was offered to work as a presenter and host for Hamburgs most listend to radio station NDR 90.3. Till today he's hosting different shows. From daily news to entertainment/pop culture topics and interview segments the program offers a big variety. Besides that he's presenting a lot of shows that focus in music.
He’s also the Off-Air Presenter of the stations different event-shows. One of the highlights in the past time was surely the work as one of the official hosts of the Fifa Fan-Partys at the soccer – Worldcup in Germany 2006 with over 70.000 Fans.
Since April 2007 Christian Buhk is also on the air with NDR- TV where he covers difference stories as a live reporter. Besides these duties he started in the summer of 2011 to host the 6pm edition of the program "Hamburg Journal 18 Uhr". Every other week he's broadcasting live out of the city and presents as a host a big variety of news pieces and interviews in all kind of genres.
With big interested Christian follows the developments at media sector in the United States. In the fall of 2011he traveled as a fellow with the RIAS program to the U.S. In Washington D.C. and New York City he visited different news outlets like CNN, NBC, Fox, and the "New York Times". During this time he also was with the school of journalism at the Indiana University in Bloomington/Indiana and with "FOX 59" in Indianapolis/ Indiana.
In his sparetime Christian loves to be at the beach and doing all kind of watersports. He loves to travel to California, where he teamed up with the Los Angeles County Lifeguards a couple years ago.
